What do you think of diamond coatings used on molds?

I am wondering what your experience has been using diamond coatings on molds. Some coating enhance ejection so help with galling. Do you have experience either positive or negative from their use?

I have not used diamond coatings. They do provide a very hard surface but it is an expensive option if you are trying to prevent galling.

If you are having galling issues then nitriding will prevent this. On top of that it is cheaper than diamond coating.
